OK. So, evidently it's the EGR ports I need to scrub out. Can anyone confirm the process for me?

I first need to get the fuel rail out of the way. Then, I take off the top cover next. There appears to be 5 holes (EGR ports) down in there that I need to get the carbon out of.

Is that right? Am I missing anything? Is there any gaskets I need to plan on replacing while I'm in there?
