I did the whole manual shifting thing from the start, and my tranny busted at 17k miles. Honda repaired it under warranty. Again I continued to manually shift until I powdered my tranny at 39k miles. Honda completely replaced my tranny. You be the judge. 2000 accord, 4cyl, 3 trannies. Don't manual shift if you don't want to ruin your tranny.
