make sure your wireless device is at the top of the list or it will always try to connect to the one @ the top first, even if yours has a stronger signal

I don't think that would be the problem. It would try to connect to other networks then...

It might be because you're mixing brands. Alot of the routers don't like recievers from other brands, also they're two different types of wireless. One is g and the other b. I don't think thats the problem though, it might be contributing to it a little.

Look through the settings of your router and read the users manual.
