Nah it's not under warranty because I drive it to death. A tech did tell me that an ignitor/ignition coil failure could cause the car to act this way and have the CAT converter go bad. It was just replaced a few thousand miles ago and the check engine light is back on.

Does anyone know how an ignitor/ignition coil can cause the Cat converter to go bad?
