The torque comes on by 3000 rpms, peaks at 4800 rpms, and then falls back rather poorly all the way to redline. I have never seen a torque curve like this before, so the pros or cons of it in a drag race would be interesting to see.
thats most likely due to improperly setup engine design. It is the first I have seen that falls like that. Possibly those "custom cams".
The k24 head, even the shitty crv and accord ones, flow more than the factory h22 head at 290cfm, they should be able to pull clear til redline on a properly setup engine
the k20a, k20a2, k24a2, k20z etc.. heads flow slightly higher around 300cfm.
