To work toward a solution... (or at least entertain you ungrateful little...)

Here's a trick from the 240 community that may work if you cannot get the knob off otherwise.

From what I recall, Nissan used thread-locker to secure their knobs. What most people wound up doing was to remove the shifter lever assembly altogether, wrap the knob in shop towels and....wait for it.....park a car on top of the knob.

Preferably a truck with big ol' squishy sidewalls.

Then, with the knob held captive by 5000 lbs of Ford / Chevrolet / GMC / Dodge, they would use a big ol screwdriver or long circular bar through a hole at the base of the shift lever to break the thread-locking compound.

Now granted, this may not work at all on an RSX.
I've never inspected an RSX shift lever, so you may be forced to find another creative solution.

Frankly, if it takes that much work to remove a shift knob, I'd leave the stock one on.h:
