No they didn't. What you really mean here is that the percentage of whites that died is disproportionate to the number of whites in the affected population.

Is it possible our judicial system and our Board of Education has a racial bias against whites? The reverse discrimination in this country seems more prevalent than ever before.

P.S. Please do not resort to any "yourrr racizt!!" retorts. I am not racist. I am simply pointing out some alarming facts that I feel need to be addressed.
Your definition of an "alarming fact" is bizarre. Even more bizarre is that you and I agree on hate crimes legislation and on affirmative action, although surely for different reasons.

President Lyndon Johnson, in a speech he gave in 1965, said "You do not take a person who, for years, has been hobbled by chains and liberate him, bring him up to the starting line in a race and then say, 'you are free to compete with all the others', and still justly believe that you have been completely fair."

I think he was right. There was a time in America when affirmative action policies were right and just, but that time has passed. The struggle for equality continues, but at this point the government and society have fulfilled their obligation to make possibly racial and social equality. At this point, only individuals can bring themselves to equality by earning it.

What I mean by that is that education admissions quotas are unjust. College and the world beyond are and should be a meritocracy. Rewards should be given to those who earn them. There was a time that, no matter how hard he worked or how smart he was, a black man could not go to medical school. That time has passed, and its time to close the books on affirmative action.

Hate crimes legislation bothers me because we already punish criminals for the crimes they commit. If a gay man is beaten because he is gay, is it any worse than being beaten by people who don't know he is gay? I'm not comfortable with the idea that people should be punished for what they think in addition to how they act.

By the way, where did you find those "offiicial" statistics on hate crimes?
