hi there guys.. my transmission on my 99 (base) just died w/ 105k miles. My insurance would cover the new one and most of the labor.

My mechanic sugested to get racing gears and rebuilt it (it would cost the same as buying the spec one for the car, the transmission for the 5th gen run around 3200)


However I was trying to save some money ( i could get about 1 thousand) and do some other upgrades in my car by buying a used or an accord transmission.

So, that said, what can I possibly fit in that car? any other h22 tranny? What about the accord transmissions or any F series? Would any of these bolt on my car? Please help me w/ this one guys!
