freestyle bindings tend to be more flexible and 'give' more than freeride type bindings. my FL_11 flows are the freeride model, whereas the FL_5 was the freestyle. people who spend most of their time in the pipe and park typically want to be a little less rigid and be able to tweak grabs and shit. i prefer freeriding and having more of a direct, controlled feeling when im riding.
Yeah I know, I'm just saying that the difference in binding type (strap in vs step in), I feel like I have better board control with the step ins.
