well to combine details here, maybe nintendo is seeing the success it's having in japan witht he DS as a sign people ther want to play a different way than they're used to.

maybe nintendo is saying if we can't beat them in the US, which obviously the way things are going now they wont have a chance, lets hit them where they arent paying attention, i.e. japan
