I see. I don't think PATA is going to take over SATA as quickly as they made it seem. At this point, the gains of SATA vs. PATA are minimal, unless you go w/SATA-IO. I do like not having to worry about setting master/slave jumpers and all that crap anymore, and the cables are much easier to work with too.

That being said, I have a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 SATA 160gig HD on orderh:
