I might ask for some tools (specifically a nice rachet set) for Christmas and was wondering if there's a good brand or one to stay away from. I currently have a cheap handyman kit with the basics (hammer, screwdrivers, a few wrenches, etc). As of now if I need anything I borrow from work, which has everything I could ever need, but I want to start my own collection. So what do you guys recommend? I don't need super high quality since I'm not a mechanic working 8 hours a day, I just need good stuff that won't break or round off bolts. Do you think it's worth it to get one of those 200+ piece kits or should I get a smaller one so long it has all the normal standard and metric sizes? Cost would be an issue.
