get a nice set of craftsman tools...lifetime warranty, and AFORDABLE.

Craftsman for the weekend mechanic. Great bang for your buck tools.

Snap On, Mac, Matco, Cornwell, IR... I also have some tools of as well. Its more expensive but working as a full time mechanic I noticed they feel better and are a more refined tool then some of the craftman tools I have. But Ive also broken many of these tools. No matter what brand you get you WILL break at least one.

I've been on a Matco kick. Their stuff has a more solid feel then Craftsman and doesn't cost quite as much as Snap-On.

My Matco tool guy is a lot nicer then the Snap-On tool guy, too. I'm sure that swayed me a bit.

My dad had a craftmen ratched from 35 years ago. It broke on us when we were putting a swingset together. Worked great until the day it broke.

Matco is a pretty good company. I bought my DeWalt buffer and palm sander from them.
