It's a holiday. Anyone can celebrate it for whatever reason they want. I was raised catholic, I don't believe much of it or even pratice it, But I'm sure going to participate in the "HOLIDAY EVENT". Even if I don't believe in the whole thing, we need things like the holidays to get ourselves a mental kickstart.

Doesn't matter who you are, celebrate christmas as a time of giving and happiness. Don't bother to listen to those bible humpers, just have a good time.
no personal offense to you, but that just sounds like ignorance. i mean holidays are there b/c something important took place which would merit a day being there to commemorate it. im sure a day like martin luther king jr day is there to help remember the whole civil rights deal, and particularly a man who did what he believed to be best to make drastic social changes. christmas, or any other holiday for that matter, should at least be able to exist to remind people of its significance. now whether you believe the reason to be significant or not is entirely up to you. to say just live it up w/o concern would be a bit shallow and disrespectful, at least in my opinion.
