Wow im retarded. Sorry about that bro. I have a friend in Cali who is on 400+ hp on stock sleeves and hasnt cracked one yet. Although that is definitely pushing it, but he is a professional builder.
As to your question, sleeves range anywhere from $800-1000 depending on what kind + labor. I wouldnt advise going with a blockguard as it causes overheating problems, plus you have to go to a shop to get them to sit it flush on your block. Running925 feels differently and im sure will post up...however me and many others feel this way.
i actually just searched the forum about block guards and i don't think im going that route. i think ill just build a bomb proof bottom end and low compression pistons with new rings. For the head I think i just upgrade the springs, retainers and then throw in some valve seals. i think im gonna put about $1500 into the motor and try to build the turbo kit for under $1000. Ill keep everyone updated. most likely wont start untill next summer. i will, however have a new clutch and resurfaced fly before then (its on the way out) has about 150k on it as of now.
