Rear pads worn out more than front pads?
I've changed the disc brake pads 2001 Accord Ex at 60K miles, and I've noticed the front pads are worn maybe to 1/2" but the rear bads are worn to 1/8". Why did the rear pads worn out more quickly than the front? Shouldn't be in reverse? (These are original pads) Also, I've noticed the rear pads on 2001 Accord are larger than front pads and cost more at the Honda Dealership. I'm thinking it maybe the Electronic Brake System shifts the brakes more toward the rear for stability? I would imagine a forward wheel vehicle would spin out of control if the front pads work harder than the rear pads during a hard brake? Any comments or ideas?
Thanx.
