I wouldn't use a plasma for gaming. It'll be burned-in in a day.

Oh, and anyone looking to spend more than $500 on a new tv and NOT getting one that's HDTV compatable... is wasting money. And stupid.

edit: If I was going to get a new TV, it would be a Toshiba DLP. Best picture I've personally ever seen. 1080P for the mega win.
