Default intermitent starting and running

I had the same problem a few months ago,This is what i found The coil which is on the side of your distributer had burned a tiny hole through the insulator causing the sparks from the distributor rotor to ground at the coil
instead of sending current down through the spark plugs. The car would start somedays without a problem and then on other days it would try but wouldn,t then it slowly got worse finally wouldnt start but I could hear the engine trying to start from the little residule sparks the sparkplugs were producing. My first indication was the coil.I checked the coil was fine checked module, had it checked was fine.I was even getting sparks at the
sparkplugs sometimes.I finally discovered the problem as it got dark I had my wife crank over the engine while I had the Hood up broke down on the interstate. In the dark I spotted a hige voltage electrical spark coming from the coil and groundig back to the distributer rotar. So even when I removed the coil and got it checked it still showed it was working properly but as I looked real close at the coil housing i finally found the tiny hole in the coil housing insulator.I replaced the coil and it started perfect.I hope this helps if not I have some other Ideas besides it can only be a fire or fual problem
It certainly isnt aint anything serious its one or the other.

hope this helps
