Just find a trustworthy friend or two and go in together on a 2 or 3 BR 2BA apartment. That will definitely cut costs.
i'm 25. i've lived on my own for a few years, but moved in with my grandparents when i got laid off in hopes of saving up some money. my plan is really to stay here and save money for a house. i just think it's pointless to waste money on rent when i don't necessarily HAVE to.
