No not really
I heard the story on this car was acually a lot more than that. Here is what I have read on it around the web and there is a site detailing part of the build on it too (go figure)
They took the front end of a car and put it in the rear, stretched the steering linkage and turned a seat, but for the reverse driving they put the motor in the back on a fwd setup so the rear wheels are actually the drive wheels and the car won't do more than the normal 10 or so in reverse (or forward facing direction).
It's been around the web a long time and I remember a few years ago someone sent me the link to the guys site.
