Recently ive been having a problem with my vehicle. First off let me stat that it has just had an oil change and all fluids are new. When the issue occurs there is no check engine light or any other warning lights. What is occuring is that i get an occasional smell of gas. When im driving the engine seems to sound a little loud as in seems to rev louder than it should at certain rpm. Then when i come to a stop at a light, the rpm drops to about 300 rpm and then typically catches back up to approx 700 rpm. No the other day, i left work and when i would stop the engine would stall out unless i was pressing the gas petal to supply more flow to the engine. Tonight, after the stalling issue on thursday, i took the car for a short drive to get the engine temp up, it did the rpm drop and didnt stall, but when i stopped, i checked under the hood and heard a raspy sputtering noise coming from my injector area. I believe it is fuel system issues. I'm just wanting to make sure though. Ive tried injector cleaners and the issue has not gone away, tried new fuel filter with the same results. Fuel pressure at the filter is good. Do you think i need to replace the injectors? Should i get them professionally cleaned? Or is it something else that I may have completely looked over?
