Yes, I have achieved deli!
I had lots and lots of pickles and challah, a bowl of matzah ball soup, and a pastrami and corned beef sandwich. It was great. I took a really crappy picture.
I will say this, it wasn't quite like the deli back home in DC, but I'm thinkin that since New York is the center of the kosher deli universe, and I guess DC/Baltimore, Philly, and maybe Boston (I dunno, I have family there but I have yet to inquire about the quality of their delis) might have the other quality delis, and then apparently like Miami where all the old jewish people go to retire also has good delis.
But so far, all I know is DC > Chicago when it comes to deli, at least in my limited experience with Chicago deli. Perhaps I will find a better place in Chicago, but this
Ella's Deli place here in Madison is actually looking kinda promising so I'm gonna check it out.
