thanks for the replys guys. ever since i got this car, ive been putting synthetic oil in there and changing the oil every 3000-3500 miles. but it looks like NOW that the guy who had it before me drove this car really rough...maybe 6-8k miles per oil change because i see oil leaks all around under the car and even by the starter, dist, by the exhaust manifold. i thought the oil that was leaking the most (around the oil pan) was the oil pan gasket, but now im doubting that too. i dont know how the oil got to dist or the starter but it seems like its coming from somewhere. oil level seems fine and oil light has never come on. but i know the light works since the light comes on when the ignnition is on ON position. i have not checked the oil pressure with a gauge but i probably have one at the autozone and maybe over the weekend ill check it. but if the oil is below the pressure, what are my first precautions and where should i begin to start tracing? my accord is a LX and non v-tec. its a 2.2L F22B2 and i dont know if i can adjust the valves because in the Haynes manual it says i can but then some people said i shouldnt even touch it. but at the moment im ready to get the water pump, timing belt, and the head changed. i know a guy really well who does this stuff for living and he said he'll do the belt and pump for $200 labor plus my parts. should i go ahead and let him do it? thanks again for all your help guys. appreciate it.
