Not sure how loud it is, but some valvetrain noise is normal. I could very much hear my valves ticking from inside the car when my engine was cold in my 96 Accord. Once it was at full operating temp, it usually just had a slight tap at idle. Had a valve adjustment done, but didn't notice any difference. The F-series engines are very mechanical sounding.
