Default timing

Hello Bruce
  • I have a 1995 honda civic sedan with a 1.5 engine and me and another technician figure out that if you set the cam up to the right one tooth it will put the engine in the correct timing. I know you probably think im crazy but it is a manufacturing default. If that doesn't work try to advance the timing belt the other way. It has been several years now. I just remembered how frustrated we were to find out that the timing was retarded by a certain degree.
hope this helps

Brett
