H22a isnt the best idea, its a nightmare to get in and once its in its a big heavy, torquey bitch. The civic hatch (EG) only weighs 1060kg, so why would you put a h22a in???? Far too much torque for a car with that weight, the car will just spin everywhere.....my freind has one and it wont handle for toffee. if i wer you i'd go for the b16a2 and put the S80 ITR LSD tranny in there (like me) more traction and well better handling. Also the B16 is a more tunable engine than the H22a. Have you considered the ITR's B18c5 motor?? 187bhp standard with a 8700rpm limiter and 133ftlb of torque?? and its really tunable!

The saying "there is no replacement for displacement" is right, but also wrong because it completely depends on the car, weight and traction etc etc.

hope this helps anyways, just my opinion! Ste
