Hi all,

I was just reading a manual for an older BMW, the manual is quite remarkable in its detail and insight...Anyway in it they recommend starting your car and driving straight away in a normal manner. The reason for this is to get the engine temperature up to the correct range as soon as possible. Although it is an older car, i think BMW are a respectable source of information.

Just my opinion....
