Forged pistons tend to just be noisy. There's no detonation going on, it just sounds like a bit of a clatter. Sometimes the noise will fool the knock sensor so if you're running an ECU which uses a knock sensor (I don't know what car/motor this is for) you may want to disable the sensor.
