With a Lexus, you can still actually work on the car yourself, and it uses regular oil (not the full synthetic the BMWs require).
Every BMW owner that I know change their own oil. Don't believe in everything you read in the magazines.
But if you do, make sure you re-read the part about BMW's being the
BENCHMARK in which all competition vehicles aim for.
