Here's some info about this check engine light. There are two diagnostic trouble codes for MIL/code 6
(P0117 and P0118).
Possible causes:
ECT sensor deterioration
Malfunction in the thermostat and the cooling system
P0117- indicates ECT circuit low input (high temperature) and a possible short in the ECT sensor circuit.
P0118- indicates ECT circuit high input and a possible open in the ECT sensor circuit.
