I have a 9 lb in my GSR.

The performance is like night and day. Throttle response is much improved, rev matching is much easier, and it is a lot more fun to drive. It takes a little getting used to, but it is a good investment.

There are no idle problems with it, but it does stall occasionally when coming out of higher revs.
