Yeah, that doesn't make sense...I would think that in theory you would get the best MPG going as slow as you could in the highest gear...so probably more like 45ish. :dunno:

I think I remember reading an auto magazine like back in high school where the authors tried to get the best MPG...and they found the best was had by acclerating up to speed, then coasting down to like 5, accelerating again, etc. Something like that...but it's a fuzzy memory at best.
