So, what year and model CRX are you using?
I have a 91 CRX HF and I put 91 Integra trailing arm, control arms, struts and shocks on the rear.
if you find the compensator arms somewhere(try honda) cross reference the part number to determine if they are identical or not.
I did this and found they do have different part numbers. I think they are pretty much the same thing though, just stronger. Haven't managed to fine any actual specs for both... figure that will be tough. (Anyone want to pull one off their Integra and measure it for me? Ha! I crack myself up sometimes)
generally the person that attempts to align it will check to make sure the bolts and ball joints and bushings are intact.
The shop did do this and showed me that I need new bushings. Even with new bushings though it won't quite line up.
i could see how different size and shape compensator arms could be missed, and how it could cause your problem.
I think that will be the first thing I do. Pull both compensator arms and compare them.
