Transmission crack
I have a small-medium sized crack in the bottom of my b-series transmission casing. It drips oil just like this drip..drip..drip..drip. I put GOBS of J.B. weld all over that sucker, when it was dry of course. Do you guys think that the J.B. will hold and not let tranny fluid leak out? I'm not quite certain if the transmission flexes or builds extra heat during prolonged use, maybe causing the weld to open up and leak again. It says it can withstand a constant temperature of 500 degrees. Do you think the transmission gets this hot? I don't think it ever would, unless i'm driving at a track doing 100mph all the time, but was wondering what anyone thought about this... Any help is greatly appreciated!
