Anything you can do to push more air through the engine will help. I wouldn't fault anyone for doing bolt-ons, in fact it's a fun way to learn more about your car, but don't expect to own the road.

I really need a project Honda because I love to tinker. The only caveat is that it couldn't be a daily driver, since I would gut the motor and start from scratch. Now I'm working on a dilapidated F100, trying to get it streetable again. When I got it started and revved the dual glasspacks, I remembered why I love this hobby so much.
