I had no clue myself that Hondas had crush washer that had to be changed every time. I kind of assumed, that non-Honda mechanics could be trusted to do at least such simple operations as an oil change, but I guess, I was wrong.
Nope. Non-Honda mechanics don't understand the importance of the washer and the fact that the bolt/pan design inherently has a gap in it. The washer is absolutely necessary.
