There are SEVERAL variations of both the K24 and the K20 series of motors. No K24 is rated at 220hp, none. The closest K24 that comes to your claimed 220hp is the TSX
"For 2006, modifications to the TSX 2.4 liter DOHC i-VTEC(TM) engine boost horsepower to 205 hp SAE net (Rev 8/04)*, a five horsepower increase compared to last year, and torque to 164 lb-ft SAE net (Rev 8/04) at 4500 rpm "

Due to increasing demands on safety requirements on both the consumer and the legal spectrum, the offset is added weight in components. Nevermind the fact that the level of comfort and ammentities rises with each generation which can partially account for the increasing weight. I bet you can't name one vehicle that hasn't gained any weight with a generation change reguardless of make or model.

No it's a K20 which is similar to the 2005-2006 RSX-S, but the same? No.

Specs are here. (auto.consumerguide.com).
Again not the same motor, Similar yes, but it does recieve it's own designation. I believe the next Si is a K20Z6, and the current RSX-S is a K20Z2

A misconception, it is not the SAME motor. It is a similar motor.

Not entirely true either the Si in the 5th generation Civic was a 1.6L, the Si in the 6th generation was a 1.6L, and the 7th generation was a 2.0L. For the most part the lower trimmed Civics followed this trend, however the statement doesn't hold true to all Civics.

Need I dispel any further rumors?
