Yeah wtf, in MY05 the Type-S was barely $3,000 more than the base model with cloth seats.
I think OTD I could've gotten a base for like $20,000 and I ended up paying OTD (tax/title/reg) about 23k on my Type-S
Edit: I'd bet that base 5spd would be the less deseriable out of the base auto, base 5spd, and Type-S 6spd.
