I have a very hard time accepting the fact that Americans would turn their backs on fellow countrymen, much less people turning their back on those in such dire need.

Let's stop turning this into a racial issue. It was a natural disaster that had the misfortune of hitting a predominantly black area. This area is now in utter chaos. It's a diffucult situation, and everybody needs to take a step back.

Besides, what about all the white folks in Missisipi and the rest of the Gulf. Theyre just as fucked over as the black residents.
