If they were too poor, or stupid to leave, they should have taken some minimal steps. Keep a few gallons of water handy, maybe some cans of tuna fish or jars of peanut butter, whatever. If you live in Cali, look in your phone book. There is something in there regarding what you should have, just in case an earthquake hits and your lights are out for a few days. Sure, this is a tragic situation, but by no means is it the responsibiity of the president. You may hate him, but he has plenty on his plate already. Some might say, but he has been on vacation for a month. My response to this would be, "If you honestly believe that the President of the United States of America takes a month completely off from work, I have some property to sell you in Mississippi."
Well you have no justice to say such things. Obviously the mayor of NO and the Govenor of Loisiana told people to get out, but remember two years ago when they said the same thing would happen? Everyone evacuated and then got pissed when they all evacuated for nothing. They go through this every year and who's to say they will evacuate no problem, even after the false call two years ago. And the people who are stuck there now are not just poor, they'r po'.. meaning they couldn't leave or save many resources.
