humor me, where did you find the sensor? its not in the distributor. its on the crankshaft, behind the pully bolted to the oil pump. its a very tight sqeeze to even unplug the thing, let alone check it. my jdm b20 i installed in my car didnt come with one, so i just left it unplugged. it doesnt hurt your engine at all, people run without those for a long time without any problems. theres 2 ways to get rid of the CEL: get a new sensor installed, or go OBD1.

and its not the same thing as the TDC sensor
