I don't see how nitrous is "cheating". The whole point of racing competatively is to be faster than the next guy by any means. If you can gain an edge with spray than I don't see how that is cheating. It's like a workout out at the gym. If you're trying to get bigger you take supplements like Creatine. It's also a good alternative for those that want to maintain a daily driver while having the ability to use a little extra power when they need to. Nitrous really isn't dangerous. If you follow the instructions about how to install it and don't exceed the recommended levels of fuel and spray than there really is no hazard. Sure there are those few people that hold the button down on the highway while trying to break a new landspeed record, but they deserve to destroy thier motors. The only drawback is refilling the tank. If you use it a lot it could become a money pit. That's why a turbo may be a smarter investment in the long run.
