dont forget to replace the head bolts or use head studs. Replace every little hose you come across. You should replace the main bearings and the thrust washers as well. If you re-use the old rods, use ARP rod bolts, if not your forged rods will come with them. Honing is a must and boring only if scoring catches your finger nail. Always use new pistons rings and gaskets. You can get away with the old oil pump but mine as well do it now. Always replace the water pump, belt and tensioner. You don't need to get the block decked or the head milled if you remove them with proper sequence and use a MLS 3 layer head gasket with new bolts/studs. Use a precision straight edge anyways just in case make sure its accurate to .0002". And don't forget the factory book this is a must.
