I would put my money on an out of whack diaphragm spring or something having to do with the pressure plate. Does it affect your shifting or clutch engagement, or is it just a noise?
For an ACT clutch, my best price I found for the HDSS and 8.8 lb prolite flywheel was $604 on ebay. ACT doesn't make clutches in stages; but instead, you can mix and match disk types and pressure plate types.
I think it is the throwout bearing, because it only made the noise when the clutch was out, and then went away...
I don't really like "Stage" claims as is, it's just easier to say, I know they dont' go in stages over at ACT though... I was thinking the XTSS, over the HDSS, and a 12.5lb flywheel over the 8.8.... I know the roads aroud here too well, and tend to coast, I dont wanna stall all the time because I speed up and then coast the rest of the road.
