Why don't you just un-plug the electrical connector for the o2 sensor, and feed the wire through the hole on the heat shield so you don't have to remove the o2 sensor from the exhaust.
Clearance issue?
If so, crank the car up, turn the AC on, rev it at 3000 RPMS until the exhaust is hot and the engine is FULLY warmed up. Hit it with a 22mm crescent wrench (using the closed-end side) and it will come out much easier.... either that or put your purse down first. :reechy: j/k
