Not sure, fellow New Yorker.....thats what the dealership here in Vegas, my new home, quoted me.....but no worry because like I said, we're covered under Geico's "Mechanical Breakdown" policy we have with our coverage, and they are thinking this MAY have been related to the last big front end accident I had so they are covering the tranny; all we have to pay out of pocket is $250.....

Sometimes I wonder, after you mentioned your friend dropped 2 grand into the tranny, if these cars are WORTH dropping THOUSANDS of dollars into versus what their book values are worth at the time, ya know? Like, I dont know....something BOTHERS me about the fact that we need to replace things in a car that cost 2,3, or 4 THOUSAND dollars, and yet the car isnt even NEW anymore, know what I mean? Your friend had the two grand sitting around to be able to drop into the new tranny?
