No problem; like I said, the Maxells are the best brand of BLANK AUDIO CD-R out there right now, the MAXELL MUSIC PROs that is, but they DO cause the "laser malfunction" problem in the Accord's CD player which is common with some brands of CD-R.....so what you are experiencing is not unusual. Try using a top-name brand like TDK or MAXELL (but NOT the MUSIC PRO ones because they'll just take forever for the laser to pick up as it does on my player) and see if you still have the problem.

Are you using a computer to burn your CD-Rs? The best way, contrary to what you might hear, to burn CD-Rs is through a stand-alone AUDIO CD recorder component, such as my $800 Marantz DR700, NOT via computer.
