I believe some of it, but thats why I made sure we went w/ the smaller ones, and we also gambled on a few deaths. I'm new to the Cichlids myself, so i'm relying on research on the net, and consensus w/ what petstores say.

I love the more expensive, more colorful fish, but I didn't want to pay $10+ a fish when i'm learning the new breed, and I don't have the space for the 100 gal tank we want yet.
