I hope Honda ends up replacing it for free...I talked to the dealer this afternoon and they're not willing to do anything. They only gave me Honda's Customer Relations number....so I'll be calling them and hope they help me out a little...At this point, I'd be happy if they worked out a deal where I would only be responsible for the labor.
I guess I'm sort of glad I didn't buy a 2005 Accord. It seems as if Honda still hasn't worked out there A/T problems. I seriously looked at an EX V6 Sedan but my wife wanted a midsize wagon so we ended up with a Subie.
I also don't understand why Honda did not extend the warranty for 98s and 99s...they're the same generation and use the same transmission...does not make sense.
