Ok I'm going to be sand blasting and repainting my fiancees 93lx valve cover. The damn thing is so nasty I can't stand it!! So here I come with a few questions.

#1. I know it will have to be a high temp paint of some type, any favorites?
#2. Other than the initial sandblasting, is there anything else I should do to prep the surface?
#3. What is the best way to protect the high lettering from paint? Tape, Vasoline? What would you use?
